The Jordan Industrial Ports Company has signed an agreement with two Spanish companies with a view to expanding the industrial pier at Aqaba, according to the Jordan Times. The Spanish consortium will expand the pier, which is owned by Arab Potash Co (APC) and Jordan Phosphate Mines Co (JPMC), in order to double capacity and allow the port to receive larger ships carrying as much as 100,000 mt.
