Jan/Feb MAP imports into Brazil at 10 year high

The latest GTIS data for February show the volume of MAP imported into Brazil in January/February combined reached 251,000 mt, the largest volume since 2004. The quantity included 79,000 mt from Russia, 54,000 mt from Morocco, 53,000 mt from the US, 41,000 mt from China and 24,000 mt from Mexico. In February, GTIS data show imports at 142,000 mt comprising 59,000 mt from Russia, a cargo each from the US and Morocco plus 12,000 mt from China. Both Koch and Nitron brought in cargoes from the Baltic, according to the port data for February.
