OCP dominating acid supply; Kribhco looks for phosacid

The vessel line up shows a total of 174,000 mt solution arriving from Morocco to date in January, a sizeable volume to start the year. Two further cargoes are due to arrive from PotashCorp and from Israel plus 9,000 mt from Jordan. Production at Tifert, CIL and GSFC's joint venture plant in Tunisia, has been suspended following further disruptions to rock supplies experienced since mid December. The plant has a capacity of 360,000 mt P2O5 of which all is meant for India however the plant is yet to reach capacity and the number of cargoes that have been shipped from the plant has been relatively low. GTIS data for India show a total of 154,000 mt P2O5 phosacid imported from Tunisia between January-October last year of which just 30,000 mt P2O5 came in between July-October.
