The MoARD issued the expected tender for bagged urea via local importer AISE for Q4 2010/Q2 2011 shipment/delivery. The tender closes August 16, and calls for deliveries at Djibouti between October 2011 and May 2012. As indicated earlier in the week, the quantity required is a massive 550,000 mt, designed to cover Ethiopian import requirement through the 2012 crop season. The importer is also requesting for offers to include a shipping tolerance of 20% on quantities offered, at AISE's option.
