CHINA: Sinofert has finalised a supply contract for standard MOP with Canpotex priced at around $400/mt CFR, the new benchmark price set in an earlier agreement between BPC and two Chinese importers. The Sinofert supply contract totals 600,000 mt standard grade MOP for shipment during the first six months of calendar 2011. The contract is the first concluded under the three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Canpotex and Sinofert signed in October 2010.
