The rising trend in prices since October shows little sign of running out of steam amid growing evidence of strong demand for deliveries in the coming months. Supply continues to be tight with most producers fully committed for the fourth quarter and some claim heavy booking for January and February next year. There are growing expectations of a strong start to 2011, especially in Asia. Some buyers in SE Asia have already said that for March delivery they may have to pay more than the first quarter price of $430/mt CFR for standard grade MOP.
