EPA settles with Giy-Tek over acid spiil

Seattle, Wash. -The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) said Jan. 7 that it has agreed to settle with Gly-Tek Inc..Twin Falls, Idaho, a food additiveformulalor, forviolationso ('both the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) and the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), or Supcrfund cleanup law, in November 2014. The violations occurred following a 24,700 pound release of a 50 percent sulfuric acid solution at their facility.
