ICL could owe Haifa millions

Israel Chemicals Ltd. (ICL) may be forced to pay Haifa Chemicals tens of millions of dollars for overcharging on potash sales. An accountant appointed as examiner by the arbitrator in the dispute between the two companies gave his assessment May 31 on last year's ruling by the arbitrator. The Marker economic daily estimated that ICL may have to pay as much as $60-$70 million as a result of the ruling, which was in connection with potash sales to Haifa Chemicals in the years 2011-20,13.
