Libyas National Oil Corporation (NOC) has agreed to merge with a former rival firm established by authorities in the east of the country after the toppling of former state leader Muammar Gaddafi five years ago. The two previous contenders signed a unity agreement this week, which requires consensus on a range of issues, the NOC said this week in a statement.
