Japan to launch LNG hub by early 2020s - METI

Japan intends to launch an international LNG trading hub by the early 2020s, the country’s Ministry of Economy Trade and Industry (METI) said on Monday. The ambition was set out at a meeting of energy ministers from the G7 countries in Kitakyushu, Japan, with plans to allow third-party access to LNG terminals and boost LNG storage facilities, METI said.
