AWE and Origin take FID on Australia's Waitsia gas field

AWE and partner Origin Energy have taken final investment decision on the first stage of Australia's onshore Waitsia gas field, located in the Perth basin, AWE said on Tuesday. The first stage of development will see the Waitsia-1 and Senecio-3 gas wells connected to the Xyris production facility (XPF), where the gas will be treated and delivered to the Parmelia pipeline for domestic consumption, AWE said.
