Seacor eyes GuliMark merger

Seacor has proposed a merger with fellow offshore support vessel operator GulfMark. Charles Fabrikant, CEO of Seacor, sent a letter to the board of GulfMark. In the letter Fabrikant said he believes that GulfMark is at a crossroads. Fabrikant added that uncertainty in the market, coupled with GulfMark's balance sheet, "puts the issue of GulfMark's survival front and centre".
