Aker lands Goliat cable job

ABB has awarded Aker Marine Contractors a US $ 12.2m contract to install its subsea power cable for the Goliat field in the Barents Sea. Aker Marine Contractors will install the cable using its newbuild subsea installation and construction vessel, AMC Connector. The vessel will install 106.5km of cable - in one length - stretching from Hammerfest, Norway, offshore to teh Goliat FPSO.
