The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) has granted Statoil a drilling permit for appraisal well 16/2-22 S offshore Norway. Well 16/2-22 S will be drilled using the Deepsea Atlantic rig as a northwest extension of the Johan Sverdrup field in Norway’s Central North Sea. The well is located in Production Licence 265 (PL 265).
