Guyana interest growing

Guyana’s attraction as an upstream investment target has been buoyed by the deepwater Liza oil discovery in the Stabroek Block in 2015, says con- sultants IHS Energy. Bob Fryklund, chief upstream strategist at IHS told delegates at OTC in Houston: “Enthusiasm (for Guyana’s) has moved up because of the dis- covery of Liza... which is now being sized up”, he said, adding: “More wells are expected to be drilled this year and some probably next year.”
