Two exploration wells drilled on the Torvastad prospect by Lundin Petroleum near the Johan Sverdrup oil discovery offshore Norway have proved disappointing. Wildcat wells 16/2-20 S and 16/2-20 A have come up dry. The wells were drilled around 3.2 km northwest of appraisal well 16/2-9 S on the 16/2-6 Johan Sverdrup oil discovery in the central part of the Norwegian North Sea.
