Norway’s giant Johan Sverdrup field is likely to yield production revenues of US $200 Bn in its first 50 years. Of this amount, corporation tax alone will give the Norwegian state $99 Bn in direct revenue, operator Statoil said today. Total investments for the first development phase are expected to be $14.7-17.7 Bn, while production will be in the range of 315,000-380,000 b/d.
