Italy’s Snam reported that Q1 2013 revenue was flat wit Q1 2012 at around US $1.16 Bn, while net profit decreased by 11.7% to $314.3m. Snam’s CEO Carlo Malacarne said: “Snam produced a good performance in Q1 2013 with EBITDA of ?717m [$931.3m], up by 1.3% compared with the same period last year. This result was achieved despite lower gas demand as a result of the economic downturn and lower quantities injected into the network.
