DNO’s Yemen success

Norway’s DNO International has flow tested the Salsala-1 exploration well in Block 32 onshore Yemen at a rate of 5,900 b/d of 36° API crude oil. The well encountered oil shows in the Shuqra formation after being drilled to a total depth of 13,600ft (4,145m). After flowing at the initial rate of 5,900 b/d it was choked back to 3,400 b/d due to limited surface storage capacity, DNO said. Block 32 also holds two producing fields: Godah and Tasour. The gross production of these fields is around 2,500 b/d.
