The Indian government could offer up to 68 exploration blocks in the tenth round of New Exploration Licensing Policy (NELP 10) that will be held this year. If this number of blocks is put up for grabs then it will be the second largest round since the start of NELP in 1999. Of the acreage, 25 of the blocks will be deepwater blocks, 20 will be shallow water and 23 will be located onshore.
