TAG Oil reports that the Cardiff-3 well in New Zealand’s PML 38156 has been spudded. The well is drilling ahead at a depth of around 3,281ft (1,000m). Cardiff-3 will take around 30 more days to reach its total projected depth of 16,078ft (4,900m). Cardiff-3 is the first of three back-to-back deep wells being drilled (Cardiff-3, Heatseeker-1 and Hellfire-1) by TAG targeting Taranaki’s successful Kapuni Formation.
