Prelude development drilling start

Shell has kicked off drilling on the first of seven development wells for its industry leading Prelude floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) project off Western Australia. The semisubmersible Noble Clyde Boudreaux has begun deepwater development drilling at the field. The start-up of drilling was delayed after the Noble Clyde Boudreaux was hit by a BOP issue while drilling the Palta-1 exploration well off Australia, also for Shell.
