Nod for Norway appraisal

The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) has given Lundin Petroleum the go-ahead to drill Johan Sverdrup appraisal well 16/2-21 in Production Licence 501 (PL 501) offshore Norway. The will be drilled from the Bredford Dolphin rig after it has completed the drilling of wildcat well 16/4-6 for Lundin in PL 359. Lundin is the operator with a 40% stake. The other licensees are Statoil with 40% and Maersk Oil with 20%.
