Australia’s African Petroleum has kicked off drilling the deepwater Narina-1 well on Block LB-09 in the Harper Basin offshore Liberia. African Petroleum is using Maersk’s semi-submersible Deliverer rig to drill the well, which is targeting a Turonian prospect that the operator believes is similar to the Tullow Oil-operated Jubilee field offshore Ghana and Anadarko’s Mercury and Venus discoveries off Sierra Leone.
