Bit poised on UK Platypus

Parkmead Group said today that drilling on the Dana-operated Platypus field in UK Block 48/1a is set to get underway this month. The Platypus gas field, which lies 18km north- northwest of the West Sole gas field and 15km west-southwest of the Babbage gas field, has the potential to contain up to 180 Bcf (5.04 Bcm) of gas in place.
