Pakistan bags Iraq block

Pakistan Petroleum has been awarded an exploration contract for gas Block 8 in the Diyala and Wasit provinces in eastern Iraq. Iraq will also sign an initial contract with a consortium led by Kuwait Energy for oil Block 9 today, as well as ink a deal for oil Block 10 with a joint venture led by Russia's Lukoil tomorrow.
