Jubilant Energy is spudding its first appraisal well on a prospect that could hold 800 Bcf (22.66 Bcm) of gas in the northeast of India. The operator is drilling ahead with the Srikantabari-1 (S-1) well in the Tripura Block after spudding the probe yesterday. Although it is the fourth well to be drilled on the block, it will be the first deviated well drilled by the player.
