Nod for Norway well

Maersk Oil has been given the green light to drill an exploration well offshore Norway with the Maersk Guardian rig. The consent relates to the drilling of exploration well 2/8-18 S, which is part of Production Licence 440. Water depth at the site is around 226ft (69m) and the operations are expected to get underway at the end of March 2012.
