Petrobras to up Marlim output

Brazil’s state-owned Petrobras plans to increaseoil production at the offshore Marlim Sul field by25% before the end of the year – with a new plat-form ready to help achieve the goal.The P-56 platform has a capacity of 100,000 b/dand will start production in August, helping pushoutput at Marlim Sul up to 300,000 b/d, saidPetrobras co-ordinator for the project CarlosBarbosa. The platform will reach full capacity bythe first quarter of 2012.
