Beach Energy’s shale gas play in PEL 218 inSouth Australia’s Cooper Basin has the potentialto hold more than 300 Tcf (8.50 Tcm) of gas andup to 60 Tcf (1.70 Tcm) of recoverable sales gas,said Beach chairman Bob Kennedy.Kennedy told attendees at Beach’s annual gen-eral meeting (AGM) that volume was significantlylarger than the Gorgon project in WesternAustralia, which has around 40 Tcf (1.13 Tcm) ofrecoverable gas, and greater than all ofQueensland’s gas reserves combined.
