EMGS gets Statoil funding

Electromagnetic Geoservices (EMGS) has secured pre-funding from Statoil to start an extensive multi-client 3D EM survey in the Barents Sea. The initial programme, which comes ahead of Norway’s 21st exploration licensing round, is set to cover more than 4,000sq km, but this could be expanded subject to additional industry commitments, EMGS said.
