Russia's Natural Resources Ministry plans to sell the rights to develop 38 oil and gas fields in Eastern Siberia this year.The list includes the Chayanda gas condensate field with reserves of 44 Bcf (1.24 Bcm) of gas and 50m metric tons (367m bbl) of oil, according to the Vedomosti newspaper, which cited a source in the ministry. The ministry will also sell the rights to develop the well-explored Tas-Yuryakh and Verkhny Vilyuchan fields, among many others.
