Gazprom Neft Joins Russian Pursuit of Iranian Fields

Russia's Gazprom Neft has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to study two onshore Iranian fields, becoming the latest foreign player to position itself for Tehran's upcoming upstream opening. The company inked an MOU with state National Iranian Oil Co. (NIOC) to come up with technical proposals for development of the Cheshmeh-Khosh and Changuleh fields, which are both onshore Iran's western Ilam province and are among the 50 to be tendered in the bid round next year (IOD Dec.6'16).
