China Snaps Up Rare Crude Exports From Yemen

China will absorb all of the nearly 3 million barrels of Yemeni crude oil that was stranded in storage for more than a year due to war, International Oil Daily is told. But more barrels from Yemen will not hit the open market until October. Glencore was on Tuesday loading its second cargo of the stranded crude in the space of a week, a government source said. The Swissbased trader chartered the Universal Brave very large crude carrier to take the 1.8 million barrel cargo -- the second chunk of a consignment Glencore won in a tender in May -- from Yemen's southern export terminal of Ash Shihr.
