China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) has decided to liberalize city-gate natural gas prices for fertilizer production with immediate effect, the agency said on Thursday. Gas consumption by fertilizer producers in China stood at 9.5 Bcm last year, accounting for just under 5% of the country's total. Citygate prices for other industrial users and the residential sector are still set by the government.
