Opec secured rare commitments from non- Opec countries over the weekend to jointly cut production and help rebalance oversupplied oil markets (related). A motley crew of 11 countries agreed to shave off 558,000 barrels per day of production, on top of Opec's Nov. 30 commitment to cut 1.2 million b/d from Jan. 1.
