A winding down of security operations in the southeastern Turkish town of Idil could see an imminent restart in Iraqi Kurdish pipeline crude oil exports, which have been down for three weeks in the biggest disruption to flows in the past two years. Fierce urban fighting between Turkish security forces and Kurdish PKK insurgents shut down the main export line from northern Iraq to the Turkish Mediterranean port of Ceyhan, which typically pumps around 600,000 barrels per day, on Feb. 18 (IOD Feb.24'16).
