Shell Considering UK North Sea Sale

After previously disclosing plans to raise $30 billion through asset sales over the next few years, Royal Dutch Shell says all of its properties are being reviewed for possible divestment, including its long-held UK North Sea assets. The UK's Sunday Times reported over the weekend that the Anglo-Dutch major is discussing a possible North Sea deal with Neptune Oil & Gas, a company formed last year with the backing of private equity firms Carlyle Group and CVC Capital Partners.
