Russia to Sell Egypt 1 Million Tons/yr of LNG

Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said Friday that state-controlled Gazprom would sell 1 million tons/yr of LNG to Egypt as part of a five-year contract. Novak, speaking in a television interview on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, did not specify when the first cargoes, which will be purchased by Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Co. (Egas), would arrive in the North African country.
