摘要

The Russian Baltic Sea export outlets of Primorsk and Ust-Luga are introducing ice class restrictions for vessels coming into the ports during the next few months. A spokesman for Russia's pipeline monopoly Transneft told International Oil Daily that restrictions introduced by the ports' captains are linked to the vessel's ice class and will be imposed from Jan. 28 through mid-March. The restrictions are in anticipation of harsh weather conditions, but the spokesman said they won't affect day-to-day operations, since most of the tankers involved already comply with the necessary parameters. Authorities are also increasing the number of mandatory ice breakers available at the ports to three.
