Following a request from the Iraqi government, US marshals plan to seize the cargo of the Suezmax tanker United Kalavyrta to stop the sale of approximately 1 million barrels of Kurdish crude, court documents show. In a filing on Monday, the Iraqi Ministry of Oil filed suit in the South Texas District Court, arguing that the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) had no right to load or sell the oil.
