Croatia has opened what it hopes will be a historic chapter in its economy by launching the first round of tenders for offshore upstream oil and gas licenses. Licenses covering 29 blocks from the northern to the southern Adriatic are up for grabs, which Croatia hopes will eventually bring in some $2.5 billion worth of investments in the coming years.
