BG, CNOOC Sign Off Deal

BG Group said on Monday it has completed transactions with China National Offshore Oil Corp. (CNOOC) for the $1.93 billion sale of additional interests in the Queensland Curtis LNG (QCLNG) project in Australia. Under a separate agreement, BG Group will supply CNOOC with an additional 5 million metric tons per year of LNG. CNOOC has also reimbursed BG Group for QCLNG project expenditure commensurate with its increased interests incurred from 1 Jan. 2012 to 30 Sept. 2013. From 1 Oct. 2013 CNOOC will fund project expenditure commensurate with its new equity holding.
