European refiners are slashing runs after margins went into freefall at the end of last year -- brutally marking the end of the post-Petroplus revival of European refining. Run cuts of around 5% at complex plants and up to 20% at the region’s simpler facilities are being mulled by Europe’s more proactive refiners in a bid to shore up margins which are once again in danger of tipping negative.
