Wintershall Misses Off Norway

Germany's Wintershall failed to find commercial volumes of gas in the Mjosa prospect on license PL511, offshore Norway, its partner Bridge Energy said on Tuesday. The Mjosa well encountered reservoir quality sandstones but preliminary results indicate non-commercial gas volumes. Bridge said a data acquisition program is currently ongoing and will provide additional detailed analysis on the prospect. The well will then be plugged and abandoned.
