BP, BG Win Uruguay Blocks

Uruguay's state energy firm Ancap has announced the results of the country's second offshore bidding round and hopes to sign exploration contracts with the winning firms for eight blocks by September. Two UK-based firms -- BP and BG Group -- won the rights to three blocks each, with France's Total and UK- Irish Tullow Oil each winning one.
