Colombia, Venezuela Ink Gas Deal

Colombia will export natural gas to Venezuela for another two and a half years under a deal announced last week. State-controlled Ecopetrol of Colombia, US major Chevron and state-owned Petroleos de Venezuela (PDV) said they have agreed to extend the current fouryear contract — originally agreed in 2007 for a 2008 start-up — to export natural gas to Venezuela from a Chevron-operated field in Colombia for another two and a half years starting in January.
