Exxon Mobil is likely to start drilling at least one frontier exploration well offshore Vietnam in April. The US oil giant was award- ed seven blocks in 2009 - four in the deep- water Tu Chih-Vung May Basin and three in the Phu Khanh Basin (IOD Jun.17,p2). A source at state Petrovietnam says drilling in Phu Khanh was planned for the end of last year but was delayed by rig problems.
