Taiwan's oil product consumption averaged 899,600 b/d in the first three months of 2011, down 2.9% from 926,000 b/d a year earlier, according to Energy Bureau data. Fuel oil saw the biggest drop, with consumption sliding 14.1% to 114,500 b/d. Demand for jet fuel dipped by 1% to 40,200 b/d and for naphtha by 0.15% to 379,600 b/d. Gasoline demand increased by 2.3% to 146,200 b/d and gasoil demand by 4.4% to 84,700 b/d.
