Taiwan's oil product consumption aver- aged 747,000 b/d in September, down 13.9% from a year earlier, according to ener- gy bureau data. Total average consumption slipped 8.3% to 831,500 b/d in the first nine months of the year (IOD Oct.19'11). Consumption of most products fell in September, except for jet fuel and gasoil. Consumption of jet fuel rose by 11.7% to 44,400 b/d and gasoil by 1.2% to 89,400 b/d. Naphtha consumption continued to tumble, sliding 29.3% to 222,900 b/d. Fuel oil demand dropped 16.6% to 105,400 b/d while gasoline consumption dipped 0.9% to 149,600 b/d.
